✧ Washing the deceased

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
كَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُغَسَّلَ الْمَيِّتُ وَمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ فَضَاءٌ حَتَّى يَكُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَهُ سِتْرٌ
Translation
✧ He disliked washing the deceased while there was open space between him and the sky until there was a screen between them.
