عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: مَا أَدْنَى مَا تَكْفِي الْأَمَةَ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ ؟ قَالَ: نَقُولُ فِيهَا مَا قَالَ عُمَرُ: " أَلْقَتْ فَرْوَتَهَا وَرَاءَ الدَّارِ، فَيَكْفِيهَا إِزَارُهَا وَدِرْعُهَا قَالَ: " وَتَجْعَلُ بَعْضَ دِرْعِهَا عَلَى رَأْسِهَا "، قُلْتُ: فَكَانَتْ نَاكِحَةً عَبْدًا ؟ قَالَ: " وَكَذَلِكَ أَمَةٌ عِنْدَ عَبْدٍ "، قُلْتُ: فَكَانَتْ نَاكِحَةً حُرًّا ؟ قَالَ: " فَلْتُلَفِّفْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهَا، لِتُصَلِّ فِي إِزَارِهَا وَدِرْعِهَا وَخِمَارِهَا
Translation
✧ I said to Ata: 'What is the minimum clothing that suffices a slave woman?' He said: 'We say about her what Umar said: "She threw her fur garment behind the house, and her waist-wrapper and shift suffice her." He said: "And she puts part of her shift over her head." I said: 'What if she is married to a slave?' He said: 'Likewise, a slave woman with a slave.' I said: 'What if she is married to a free man?' He said: 'Then let her wrap that around herself, to pray in her waist-wrapper, shift, and khimar.'
