✧ The Prophet's ﷺ Night Prayer and His Witr

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ، فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَقُمْتُ مَعَهُ عَلَى يَسَارِهِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً حَتَّى حَزَرْتُ قَدْرَ قِيَامِهِ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ قَدْرَ ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ ﴾
Translation
✧ I was in the house of Maymunah, and the Prophet ﷺ got up to pray at night. I got up with him on his left, and he took my hand and placed me on his right. Then he prayed thirteen rak'ahs, until I estimated the length of his standing in each rak'ah as the length of “O you wrapped in garments.”
