✧ What Is Recited in Witr and How the Takbir Is Done in It

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أُخْبِرْتُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ
كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الثَّلَاثِ رَكَعَاتٍ الْأَوَاخِرِ، فِي الْأُولَى بِـ ﴿سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى ﴾، وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ ﴿قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ﴾، وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ ﴿قُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ ﴾وَ ﴿قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ ﴾وَ ﴿قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ ﴾
Translation
✧ He used to recite in the last three rak'ahs: in the first, “Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High”; in the second, “Say: O disbelievers”; and in the third, “Say: He is God, the One,” “Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn,” and “Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind.”
