✧ When does a traveler shorten the prayer when he sets out on a journey

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ هُشَيْمٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو هَارُونَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سَارَ فَرْسَخًا نَزَلَ يَقْصُرُ الصَّلَاةَ
Translation
✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ traveled one farsakh, he would stop and shorten the prayer.
