✧ The prayer of fear

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ عَمِيلَةَ الْفَزَارِيِّ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ صَلَاةِ الْخَوْفِ قَالَ: " قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ، فَقَامَ صَفٌّ خَلْفَهُ وَصَفٌّ مُوَازِيَ الْعَدُوِّ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً قَالَ: " ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلَاءِ، وَجَاءَ هَؤُلَاءِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ
Translation
✧ I asked him about the prayer of fear. He said: “The Messenger of God ﷺ stood and prayed with them. A row stood behind him and a row facing the enemy. He prayed one rak‘ah with them.” He said: “Then those went to the positions of those, and those came, and he prayed one rak‘ah with them. Then he departed.”
