✧ The prayer of fear

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ، وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
يَقُومُ الْإِمَامُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْخَوْفِ، وَيَقُومُ صَفٌّ خَلْفَهُ وَصَفٌّ مُوَازِي الْعَدُوِّ، وَقَالَ: " فَيُصَلِّي بِهَؤُلَاءِ رَكْعَةً، فَإِذَا صَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً قَامُوا مَكَانَهُمْ، وَالْإِمَامُ قَائِمٌ فَقَضَوْا رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ ذَهَبُوا إِلَى مَصَافِّ أُولَئِكَ، وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ قَامُوا مَكَانَهُمْ، فَقَضَوْا رَكْعَةً
Translation
✧ The imam stands in the prayer of fear, and a row stands behind him and a row facing the enemy. He said: “He prays one rak‘ah with these. When he has prayed one rak‘ah with them, they stand in their place while the imam remains standing, and they make up one rak‘ah. Then they go to the positions of those, and those come, and he prays one rak‘ah with them. Then they stand in their place and make up one rak‘ah.”
