Translation
✧ A row stands behind the imam and a row facing the enemy, not in prayer. He said: “The imam prays one rak‘ah with those who are with him. Then those go to the positions of those, and those come, and he prays one rak‘ah with them. Then the imam says the salām. Then those return to the positions of those, and those return and form a row and pray one rak‘ah. Then those depart to the positions of those, and those return and make up one rak‘ah. Thus the imam has two rak‘ahs, and each of the two groups has one rak‘ah with the imam and one rak‘ah alone. However, the first group begins the makeup because they had begun the prayer, and they do not speak until they finish all of their prayer, because they are in prayer.”
