عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْجُمَحِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ قَالَ:
بَاتَتْ عِنْدِي عَمْرَةُ ابْنَةُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فَقُمْتُ أُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَخَافَتُّ بِقِرَاءَتِي، فَقَالَتِ: " ارْفَعْ صَوْتَكَ، فَقَدْ كَانَ مُعَاذٌ الْقَارِئُ، وَأَفْلَحُ مَوْلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ يُوقِظَانِنَا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ بِرَفْعِ أَصْوَاتِهِمَا
Translation
✧ ʿAmrah bt. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān spent the night at my place, and I got up to pray at night and recited quietly. She said: “Raise your voice, for Muʿādh the reciter and Aflaḥ, the freedman of Abū Ayyūb, used to wake us at night by raising their voices.”
