عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ: مَرَرْتُ بِكَ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَأَنْتَ تُخَافِتُ بِقِرَاءَتِكَ قَالَ: إِنِّي أُسْمِعُ مَنْ أُنَاجِي. قَالَ: " وَمَرَرْتُ بِكَ يَا عُمَرُ وَأَنْتَ تَجْهَرُ بِقِرَاءَتِكَ " قَالَ: أَطْرُدُ الشَّيْطَانَ، وَأُوقِظُ الْوَسْنَانَ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " اخْفِضْ شَيْئًا " قَالَ: " وَمَرَرْتُ بِكَ يَا بِلَالُ وَأَنْتَ تَقْرَأُ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ وَمِنْ هَذِهِ السُّورَةِ " قَالَ: إِنِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَخْلِطُ الطِّيِّبَ بِالطِّيِّبِ، فَقَالَ: " اقْرَأِ السُّورَةَ عَلَى نَحْوِهَا
Translation
✧ The Prophet ﷺ said to Abū Bakr: I passed by you, O Abū Bakr, while you were reciting quietly. He said: I make the One I converse with hear. He said: “And I passed by you, O ʿUmar, while you were reciting aloud.” He said: I drive away Satan and wake the drowsy. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Lower it a little.” He said: “And I passed by you, O Bilāl, while you were reciting this surah and from that surah.” He said: O Messenger of God, I mix the good with the good. He said: “Recite the surah in its proper way.”
