عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنِّي صَلَّيْتُ وَحْدِي رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ قَامُوا، فَأَخْشَى أَنْ لَا أَشْفَعَ رَكْعَتِي بِرَكْعَةٍ حَتَّى يَفْرُغُوا، أُصَلِّي مَعَهُمْ ؟ قَالَ: بَلِ اشْفَعْهَا بِرَكْعَةٍ، ثُمَّ انْصَرِفْ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ
Translation

machine translationʿAbd al-Razzāq, from Ibn Jurayj, who said:
✧ I said to 'Ata': "What if I pray one rak'ah alone and then they stand, and I fear that I will not be able to make my rak'ah even with another before they finish—should I pray with them?" He said: "Rather make it even with a rak'ah, then depart and pray with them."
