✧ The rulers who delay the prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْهَبِ، شَيْخٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، وَكَانَتِ الْخَوَارِجُ ظَهَرُوا عَلَيْنَا، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا نَصْرٍ، كَيْفَ تَرَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ خَلْفَ هَؤُلَاءِ ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّ الْقُرْآنَ إِمَامُكَ، صَلِّ مَعَهُمْ مَا صَلَّوْهَا لِوَقْتِهَا
Translation
✧ I asked Yahya b. Abi Kathir, when the Kharijites had gained power over us, 'O Abu Nasr, what do you think about praying behind these people?' He said, 'The Qur'an is your imam. Pray with them as long as they pray it at its proper time.'
