✧ The rulers who delay the prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، وَأَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ:
أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا يُصَلِّيَانِ الظُّهْرَ إِذَا حَانَتِ الظُّهْرُ، وَإِذَا حَانَتِ الْعَصْرُ صَلَّيَا الْعَصْرَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مَكَانَهُمَا، وَكَانَ ابْنُ زِيَادٍ يُؤَخِّرُ الظُّهْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ
Translation
✧ They used to pray Zuhr when the time for Zuhr arrived, and when the time for 'Asr arrived, they prayed 'Asr in the mosque where they were. Ibn Ziyad used to delay Zuhr and 'Asr.
