عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
إِنَّكُمْ فِي زَمَانٍ قَلِيلٍ خُطَبَاؤُهُ، كَثِيرٍ عُلَمَاؤُهُ، يُطِيلُونَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَيَقْصُرُونَ الْخُطْبَةَ، وَإِنَّهُ سَيَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ زَمَانٌ كَثِيرٌ خُطَبَاؤُهُ، قَلِيلٌ عُلَمَاؤُهُ، يُطِيلُونَ الْخُطْبَةَ، وَيُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ، حَتَّى يُقَالَ: هَذَا شَرَقُ الْمَوْتَى " قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ: وَمَا شَرَقُ الْمَوْتَى ؟ قَالَ: " إِذَا اصْفَرَّتِ الشَّمْسُ جِدًّا، فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ فَلْيُصَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا، فَإِنِ احْتَبَسَ فَلْيُصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ، وَلْيَجْعَلْ صَلَاتَهُ وَحْدَهُ الْفَرِيضَةَ، وَلْيَجْعَلْ صَلَاتَهُ مَعَهُمْ تَطَوُّعًا
Translation
✧ You are in a time of few preachers and many scholars. They lengthen the prayer and shorten the sermon. A time will come upon you of many preachers and few scholars. They lengthen the sermon and delay the prayer until it is said: This is the choking of the dead. I said to him: What is the choking of the dead? He said: When the sun turns very yellow. Whoever catches that should pray the prayer at its time. If he is detained, then let him pray with them and make his prayer alone the obligatory one and his prayer with them voluntary.
