✧ The imam's shortening of the prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ قَالَ:
صَلَّى بِنَا الزُّبَيْرُ صَلَاةً فَخَفَّفَ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ: " إِنِّي أُبَادِرُ الْوَسْوَاسَ
Translation
✧ Al-Zubayr led us in a prayer and shortened it. It was said to him, so he said: “I hasten to ward off whispering.”
