عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ: أَفْقَهُ الْقَوْمِ جُنُبًا لَمْ يَجِدْ مَاءً أَيَؤُمُّهُمْ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا لَعَمْرِي، وَإِنْ كَانَ أَمِيرًا فَلَا يَؤُمُّهُمْ
Translation

✧ I said to Ata: 'The most knowledgeable of the people is in a state of janabah and cannot find water; should he lead them?' He said: 'No, by my life, even if he is a commander, he should not lead them.'
