✧ The imam's forgetfulness and the taslim in the two prostrations of forgetfulness

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُحَيْنَةَ قَالَ:
صَلَّى لَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِحْدَى صَلَاتَيِ الْعَشِيِّ، فَقَامَ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَلَمْ يَجْلِسْ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ صَلَاتِهِ انْتَظَرْنَا أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ التَّسْلِيمِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ prayed one of the two evening prayers for us. He stood up after two rak'ahs and did not sit. When he was at the end of his prayer, we waited for him to say the taslim, but he prostrated two prostrations before the taslim, then said the taslim.
