Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ once prayed part of a four-rak'ah prayer, praying two rak'ahs and then saying the taslim. A man stood up to him and said: "Have you lightened the prayer for us, O Prophet of God?" He said: "And what is that?" He said: "You said the taslim after two rak'ahs." He said: "No." Then he stood and prayed two rak'ahs, completing them, and he did not restart the prayer in full. When he said the taslim, he prostrated the two prostrations of forgetfulness.
