✧ Raising the hands in supplication

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ:
دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَآهُمْ رَافِعِينَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، فَقَالَ: مَا لَهُمْ رَافِعِينَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَذْنَابُ الْخَيْلِ الشُّمْسِ، اسْكُنُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ entered the mosque and saw them raising their hands in prayer. He said: "What is the matter with them raising their hands as if they were the tails of restive horses? Be still in prayer."
