✧ Raising the hands in supplication

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ:
ثَلَاثٌ مِمَّا أَحْدَثَ النَّاسُ: اخْتِصَارُ السُّجُودِ، وَرَفْعُ الْأَيْدِي، وَرَفْعُ الصَّوْتِ عِنْدَ الدُّعَاءِ ".
Translation
✧ Three things that people have introduced: shortening the prostration, raising the hands, and raising the voice in supplication.
