عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ:
قَالَ نَاسٌ مِنْ فُقَرَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ذَهَبَ أَصْحَابُ الدُّثُورِ بِالْأُجُورِ، يَتَصَدَّقُونَ وَلَا نَتَصَدَّقُ، وَيُنْفِقُونَ وَلَا نُنْفِقُ قَالَ: أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ لَوْ كَانَ مَالُ الدُّنْيَا وُضِعَ بَعْضُهُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ أَكَانَ بَالِغًا السَّمَاءَ ؟ قَالُوا: لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ. قَالَ: " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ أَصْلُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَرْعُهُ فِي السَّمَاءِ ؟ أَنْ تَقُولُوا فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَإِنَّ أَصْلَهُنَّ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَرْعَهُنَّ فِي السَّمَاءِ
Translation
✧ Some of the poor believers said: O Messenger of Allah, the wealthy have taken the rewards: they give charity, but we cannot give charity; they spend, but we cannot spend. He said: "Do you think that if the wealth of this world were piled up one on top of another, it would reach the sky?" They said: No, O Messenger of Allah. He said: "Shall I not tell you of something whose root is in the earth and whose branch is in the sky? It is to say after every prayer: Lā ilāha illā Allāh, Allāhu Akbar, Subḥān Allāh, and Alḥamdu lillāh ten times. Their root is in the earth and their branch is in the sky."
