عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ذَهَبَ أَهْلُ الْأَمْوَالِ بِالدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، يَصُومُونَ كَمَا نَصُومُ، وَيُصَلُّونَ كَمَا نُصَلِّي، وَيُجَاهِدُونَ كَمَا نُجَاهِدُ، وَيَتَصَدَّقُونَ وَلَا نَتَصَدَّقُ قَالَ: أَفَأَدُلُّكَ عَلَى أَمْرٍ إِنْ فَعَلْتَهُ أَدْرَكْتَ مَنْ سَبَقَكَ، وَلَمْ يُدْرِكْكَ مَنْ بَعْدَكَ إِلَّا مَنْ فَعَلَ كَمَا فَعَلْتَ، تُسَبِّحُ اللهَ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ، وَتَحْمَدُ اللهَ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ، وَتُكَبِّرُ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ
Translation
✧ I said: O Messenger of Allah, the wealthy have taken the worldly life and the Hereafter: they fast as we fast, pray as we pray, strive as we strive, and give charity, but we cannot give charity. He said: "Shall I direct you to something that, if you do it, you will catch up with those who preceded you, and no one after you will catch up with you except one who does as you do? Say Subḥān Allāh thirty-three times after every obligatory prayer, Alḥamdu lillāh thirty-three times, and Allāhu Akbar thirty-four times."
