عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عُلِّمَ فَوَاتِحَ الْخَيْرِ وَجَوَامِعَهُ - أَوْ جَوَامِعَ الْخَيْرِ وَخَوَاتِمَهُ - وَإِنَّا كُنَّا لَا نَدْرِي مَا نَقُولُ فِي صَلَاتِنَا حَتَّى عَلَّمَنَا قَالَ: قُولُوا: التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ was taught the openings of good and its comprehensive words—or the comprehensive words of good and its conclusions—and we did not know what to say in our prayer until he taught us. He said: “Say: 'Greetings are for God, and prayers and good words. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of God and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of God. I bear witness that there is no god but God, and I bear witness that Muḥammad is His servant and His messenger.'”
