✧ Dung Beetle and the Like

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ

فِي الْجُعَلِ وَالزُّنْبُورِ وَأَشْبَاهِهِ إِذَا سَقَطَ فِي الْمَاءِ، أَوْ وَقَعَ فِي الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ، قَالَ: يُؤْكَلُ وَيُشْرَبُ وَيُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ، وَمَا يَكُونُ فِي الْمَاءِ مِمَّا لَيْسَ فِيهِ عَظْمٌ فَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ

Translation

✧ Regarding the dung beetle, hornet, and their like when they fall into water or land in food and drink, he said: It may be eaten, drunk, and used for ablution. Whatever is in water that has no bone, there is no harm in it.
