✧ Dung Beetle and the Like

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مَنْبُوذٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ،
أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُسَافِرُ مَعَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، قَالَ: فَكُنَّا نَأْتِي الْغَدِيرَ فِيهِ الْجِعْلَانُ أَمْوَاتًا فَنَأْخُذُ مِنْهُ الْمَاءَ يَعْنِي فَيَشْرَبُونَهُ
Translation
✧ She used to travel with Maymūnah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ. He said: We would come to a pool with dead dung beetles in it and take water from it—meaning they would drink it.
