✧ Recitation behind the imam

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: "
نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ، قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَشْيَاخُنَا أَنَّ عَلِيًّا قَالَ: " مَنْ قَرَأَ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ فَلَا صَلَاةَ لَهُ قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ كَانُوا يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ خَلْفَ الْإِمَامِ
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade recitation behind the imam. He said: And our elders informed me that Ali said, "Whoever recites behind the imam has no prayer." He said: And Musa b. Uqba informed me that the Messenger of God ﷺ, Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman used to forbid recitation behind the imam.
