عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ أَبَا السَّائِبِ، مَوْلَى بَنِي عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ زُهْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةً لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ، هِيَ خِدَاجٌ غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ ". قَالَ أَبُو السَّائِبِ: أَكُونُ أَحْيَانًا وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو السَّائِبِ: فَغَمَزَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ ذِرَاعِي فَقَالَ: يَا أَعْرَابِيُّ، اقْرَأْ بِهَا فِي نَفْسِكَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: " قَالَ اللهُ: قَسَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي نِصْفَيْنِ، فَنِصْفُهَا لِي وَنِصْفُهَا لِعَبْدِي، وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ "، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " اقْرَأْ، يَقُومُ الْعَبْدُ فَيَقُولُ: ﴿الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴾، فَيَقُولُ اللهُ: حَمِدَنِي عَبْدِي، وَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ: ﴿الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴾، فَيَقُولُ اللهُ: أَثْنَى عَلَيَّ عَبْدِي، وَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ: ﴿مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ ﴾، فَيَقُولُ اللهُ: مَجَّدَنِي عَبْدِي، وَقَالَ هَذِهِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي، فَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ: ﴿إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ﴾، فَيَقُولُ اللهُ: أَجْرُهَا لِعَبْدِي وَلَهُ مَا سَأَلَ، يَقُولُ عَبْدِي: ﴿اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴾، إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ، يَقُولُ اللهُ: هَذَا لِعَبْدِي وَلَهُ مَا سَأَلَ
Translation
✧ "Whoever prays a prayer in which he does not recite the Mother of the Qur'an, it is deficient, it is deficient, not complete." Abu al-Sa'ib said: "I am sometimes behind the imam." Abu al-Sa'ib said: Abu Hurayrah nudged my arm and said: "O bedouin, recite it to yourself, for I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'God said: I have divided the prayer between Me and My servant into two halves; half is for Me and half is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Recite: the servant stands and says: 'Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds,' and God says: My servant has praised Me. The servant says: 'The Compassionate, the Merciful,' and God says: My servant has extolled Me. The servant says: 'Master of the Day of Judgment,' and God says: My servant has glorified Me. And He said: This is between Me and My servant. The servant says: 'You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help,' and God says: Its reward is for My servant, and he shall have what he asks for. My servant says: 'Guide us to the straight path,' to the end of the surah, and God says: This is for My servant, and he shall have what he asks for.'"
