عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا السَّائِبِ، مَوْلَى بَنِي زُهْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَنْ صَلَّى صَلَاةً لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِأُمِّ الْقُرْآنِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ، هِيَ خِدَاجٌ غَيْرُ تَامٍّ " قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ لَهُ: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ إِنِّي أَكُونُ أَحْيَانًا وَرَاءَ الْإِمَامِ قَالَ: فَغَمَزَ ذِرَاعِي ثُمَّ قَالَ: اقْرَأْ بِهَا يَا فَارِسِيُّ فِي نَفْسِكَ. فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: " قَالَ اللهُ: قَسَمْتُ الصَّلَاةَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي نِصْفَيْنِ، فَنِصْفُهَا لِي وَنِصْفُهَا لِعَبْدِي، وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ " قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " اقْرَؤُوا، يَقُومُ الْعَبْدُ فَيَقُولُ: ﴿الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴾، يَقُولُ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: حَمِدَنِي عَبْدِي، وَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ: ﴿الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ﴾، يَقُولُ اللهُ: أَثْنَى عَلَيَّ عَبْدِي، وَيَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ: ﴿مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ ﴾، يَقُولُ اللهُ: مَجَّدَنِي عَبْدِي، قَالَ: وَهَذِهِ الْآيَةُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ، يَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ: إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ، فَهَؤُلَاءِ لِعَبْدِي وَلِعَبْدِي مَا سَأَلَ ".
Translation
✧ "Whoever prays a prayer in which he does not recite the Mother of the Qur'an, it is deficient, it is deficient, not complete." He said: I said to him: "O Abu Hurayrah, I am sometimes behind the imam." He said: He nudged my arm and then said: "Recite it, O Persian, to yourself. For I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: 'God said: I have divided the prayer between Me and My servant into two halves; half is for Me and half is for My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Recite: the servant stands and says: 'Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds,' and God, Blessed and Exalted, says: My servant has praised Me. The servant says: 'The Compassionate, the Merciful,' and God says: My servant has extolled Me. The servant says: 'Master of the Day of Judgment,' and God says: My servant has glorified Me. He said: This verse is between Me and My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for. The servant says: 'You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help,' to the end of the surah, and these are for My servant, and My servant shall have what he asks for.'"
