عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ:
صَلَّى بِنَا ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ، فَاسْتَفْتَحَ بِسُورَةِ الْأَنْفَالِ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ: ﴿نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ ﴾رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِسُورَةٍ مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ
Translation
✧ Ibn Mas'ud prayed the last 'isha' prayer with us and began Surah al-Anfal until, when he reached, "Excellent is the protector and excellent is the helper" [Q 8:40], he bowed. Then in the second [rak'ah] he recited a surah of the mufassal.
