Translation
✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rose for the obligatory prayer, he said the takbir and raised his hands level with his shoulders. Then he said: 'I have turned my face to the One who created the heavens and the earth, as a hanif' — the verse — 'and the two verses after it, up to the Muslims.' Then he would say: 'You are the King. There is no god but You. Glory be to You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I have wronged my soul and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me all my sins. None forgives sins but You. Guide me to the best of character; none guides to its best but You. Turn away from me its evil; none turns away from me its evil but You. At Your service and with Your help. I am through You and to You. There is no refuge and no escape from You except to You. Blessed and exalted are You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.'
