عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، مَوْلَى عُمَرَ قَالَ: كَانَ عُثْمَانُ يَقُولُ:
اعْدِلُوا الصُّفُوفَ، وَصُفُّوا الْأَقْدَامَ، وَحَاذُوا الْمَنَاكِبَ، وَاسْمَعُوا وَأَنْصِتُوا، فَإِنَّ لِلْمُنْصِتِ الَّذِي لَا يَسْمَعُ مِثْلَ مَا لِلْمُنْصِتِ الَّذِي يَسْمَعُ
Translation
✧ Straighten the rows, arrange the feet, align the shoulders, and listen and be silent, for the silent listener who does not hear has the like of what the silent listener who hears has.
