Translation
✧ In his sermon he used to say - and he seldom omitted to preach it -: 'When the imam stands, listen and be silent, for the silent listener who does not hear has a share like the one who hears. When the prayer is established, straighten the rows, align the shoulders, for a straight row is part of the perfection of the prayer.' Then he would not say the takbir until men whom he had appointed to straighten the rows came to him and informed him that they were straight, then he would say the takbir.
