✧ The Imam's Screen Is a Screen for Those Behind Him

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ:
لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي صُفُوفًا خَلْفَ عُمَرَ، فَصَلَّى وَالْعَنَزَةُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، وَإِنَّ الظَّعَائِنَ لَتَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَمَا يَقْطَعُ ذَلِكَ صَلَاتَهُ
Translation
✧ I saw myself in rows behind Umar, and he prayed with the spear in front of him, and women in howdahs passed in front of him, and that did not cut off his prayer.
