2223 2203 - عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: ذَكَرَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ:
أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ حُمَيْدٍ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ عَائِشَةَ.
The text that “the like of it” refers to
سألت أُمُّ حُمَيْدٍ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى فَقَالَتْ كُنَّا نَقْرَأُهَا فِي الْعَهْدِ الْأَوَّلِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَقُومُوا لِلهِ قَانِتِينَ
Translation
✧ Abd al-Malik b. 'Abd al-Rahman reported to me from his mother, Umm Humayd, that she asked 'A'ishah. [Matn hidden:] Umm Humayd bt. 'Abd al-Rahman asked 'A'ishah about the middle prayer. She said: We used to recite it in the first era, in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Guard strictly the prayers, and the middle prayer, and the 'Asr prayer, and stand before Allah devoutly.
