✧ The Middle Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ،
أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ دَفَعَتْ مُصْحَفًا إِلَى مَوْلًى لَهَا يَكْتُبُهُ، وَقَالَتْ: إِذَا بَلَغْتَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ ﴿حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى ﴾فَآذِنِّي، فَلَمَّا بَلَغَهَا جَاءَهَا، فَكَتَبَتْ بِيَدِهَا ( حَافَظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَقُومُوا لِلهِ قَانِتِينَ )
Translation
✧ Hafsah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, gave a copy of the Qur'an to a client of hers to write it, and said: When you reach this verse, "Guard strictly the prayers and the middle prayer," inform me. When he reached it, he came to her, and she wrote with her own hand: (Guard strictly the prayers, and the middle prayer, and the 'Asr prayer, and stand before Allah devoutly).
