✧ The Middle Prayer

عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ رَافِعٍ يَقُولُ:
أَمَرَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ أَنْ أَكْتُبَ لَهَا مُصْحَفًا، وَقَالَتْ: إِذَا بَلَغْتَ ﴿حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَى ﴾فَأَخْبِرْنِي، فَأَخْبَرْتُهَا، فَقَالَتِ: اكْتُبْ ( حَافَظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَقُومُوا لِلهِ قَانِتِينَ )
Translation
✧ Umm Salamah ordered me to write a copy of the Qur'an for her, and said: When you reach "Guard strictly the prayers and the middle prayer," inform me. I informed her, and she said: Write: (Guard strictly the prayers, and the middle prayer, and the 'Asr prayer, and stand before Allah devoutly).
