Translation
✧ Umar b. al-Khattab wrote to Abu Musa al-Ash'ari: Pray Dhuhr when the sun declines, Asr while the sun is white and clear before yellowness enters it, Maghrib when the sun sets, delay Isha as long as you do not sleep, and pray Subh while the stars are visible and intertwined, and recite in it two long surahs from the Mufassal.
