✧ The imam waiting after the iqama

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ:
كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَعْدَ مَا يُقِيمُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، وَيَسْكُتُونَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْحَاجَاتِ وَيَقْضِيهَا، فَجُعِلَ لَهُ عُودٌ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ كَالْوَتَدِ يَسْتَمْسِكُ عَلَيْهِ لِذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ After the mu'adhdhin gave the iqama and they fell silent, the Prophet ﷺ used to speak about needs and attend to them. So a stick was fixed for him in the qibla, like a peg, to support himself on for that.
