عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ عِتْبَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:
أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي قَدْ أَنْكَرْتُ بَصَرِي، وَإِنَّ السُّيُولَ تَحُولُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ مَسْجِدِ قَوْمِي، وَلَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّكَ جِئْتَ فَصَلَّيْتَ فِي بَيْتِي مَكَانًا أَتَّخِذُهُ مَسْجِدًا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَفْعَلُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ قَالَ: فَمَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَاسْتَتْبَعَهُ، فَانْطَلَقَ مَعَهُ، فَاسْتَأْذَنَ فَدَخَلَ، فَقَالَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ: أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ ؟ فَأَشَرْتُ لَهُ حَيْثُ أُرِيدُ قَالَ: ثُمَّ حَبَسْنَاهُ عَلَى خَزِيرَةٍ صَنَعْنَاهَا لَهُ، فَسَمِعَ بِهِ أَهْلُ الْوَادِي - يَعْنِي أَهْلَ الدَّارِ - فَثَابُوا إِلَيْهِ حَتَّى امْتَلَأَ الْبَيْتُ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: أَيْنَ مَالِكُ بْنُ الدُّخْشُنِ أَوِ ابْنُ الدُّخَيْشِ ؟ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: إِنَّ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلَ لَمُنَافِقٌ لَا يُحِبُّ اللهَ وَلَا رَسُولَهُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لَا تَقُولُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ يَبْتَغِي بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ اللهِ فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَمَّا نَحْنُ فَنَرَى وَجْهَهُ وَحَدِيثَهُ فِي الْمُنَافِقِينَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَيْضًا لَا تَقُولُهُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ يَبْتَغِي بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ اللهِ قَالُوا: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: فَلَنْ يُوَافِيَ عَبْدٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَقُولُ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ يَبْتَغِي بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ اللهِ إِلَّا حُرِّمَ عَلَى النَّارِ
Translation
✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'I have noticed a weakness in my eyesight, and the floods come between me and the mosque of my people. I would love for you to come and pray in my house in a place I can take as a place of prayer.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'I will do so, if Allah wills.' He said: Then the Prophet ﷺ passed by Abu Bakr and asked him to accompany him, and he went with him. He asked permission and entered, and said while standing, 'Where do you want me to pray?' I pointed to where I wanted. He said: Then we detained him over a khazira (a type of dish) that we had prepared for him. The people of the valley - meaning the people of the house - heard about him and gathered to him until the house was full. A man said, 'Where is Malik b. al-Dukhshun or Ibn al-Dukhayish?' Another man said, 'That man is a hypocrite; he does not love Allah and His Messenger.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Do not say that, for he says, "There is no god but Allah," seeking thereby the Face of Allah.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, as for us, we see his face and his conversation among the hypocrites.' The Prophet ﷺ again said, 'Do not say that, for he says, "There is no god but Allah," seeking thereby the Face of Allah.' They said, 'Of course, O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'No servant will meet the Day of Resurrection saying, "There is no god but Allah," seeking thereby the Face of Allah, except that the Fire will be forbidden for him.'
