10346 10278 - عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ صَاحِبِ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ. متن مخفيكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْتَأْمِرُ بَنَاتِهِ إِذَا أَنْكَحَهُنَّ قَالَ يَجْلِسُ عِنْدَ خِدْرِ الْمَخْطُوبَةِ فَيَقُولُ إِنَّ فُلَانًا يَذْكُرُ فُلَانَةً فَإِنْ حَرَّكَتِ الْخِدْرَ لَمْ يُزَوِّجْهَا وَإِنْ سَكَتَتْ زَوَّجَهَا
Translation
✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to consult his daughters when he married them off. He said: He would sit at the curtain of the betrothed woman and say, "So-and-so mentions So-and-so." If she moved the curtain, he would not marry her off; and if she remained silent, he would marry her off.
