أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ قَالَ:
سَأَلَ عُمَرُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ: كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ بِكُمُ الْحَبَشَةُ إِذَا دَخَلْتُمْ أَرْضَهُمْ ؟ فَقَالُوا: يَأْخُذُونَ عُشْرَ مَا مَعَنَا، قَالَ: " فَخُذُوا مِنْهُمْ مِثْلَ مَا يَأْخُذُونَ مِنْكُمْ
Translation
✧ Umar asked the Muslims: How do the Abyssinians treat you when you enter their land? They said: They take a tenth of what we have. He said: Then take from them the like of what they take from you.
