أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ لِمُجَاهِدٍ: " مَا شَأْنُ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ تُؤْخَذُ مِنْهُمْ فِي الْجِزْيَةِ أَرْبَعَةُ دَنَانِيرَ، وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ دِينَارٌ ؟ قَالَ: ذَلِكَ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْيَسَارِ
Translation
✧ I said to Mujahid: "Why is it that the People of the Book in Syria have four dinars taken from them in jizya, while the people of Yemen have one dinar?" He said: "That is because of ease."
