أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ
أَنَّهُ ضَرَبَ الْجِزْيَةَ عَلَى كُلِّ رَجُلٍ بَلَغَ الْحُلُمَ أَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ أَرْبَعَةَ دَنَانِيرَ، جَعَلَ الْوَرِقَ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ مِنْهُمْ بِالْعِرَاقِ؛ لِأَنَّهَا أَرْضُ وَرِقٍ، وَجَعَلَ الذَّهَبَ عَلَى أَهْلِ الشَّامِ؛ لِأَنَّهَا أَرْضُ الذَّهَبِ. وَضَرَبَ عَلَيْهِمْ مَعَ ذَلِكَ أَرْزَاقَهُمْ وَكِسْوَتَهُمُ الَّتِي كَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْسُوهَا النَّاسَ، وَضِيَافَةَ مَنْ نَزَلَ بِهِمْ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ وَأَيَّامَهُنَّ
Translation
✧ He imposed the jizya on every man who had reached puberty: forty dirhams or four dinars. He made silver for those of them in Iraq, because it is a land of silver, and he made gold for the people of Syria, because it is a land of gold. Along with that, he imposed on them their provisions and the clothing that Umar used to clothe people with, and the hospitality of Muslims who stopped with them for three nights and their days.
