Glory be to Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. Praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I ask You for the means that bring Your mercy, the firm resolve that brings Your forgiveness, the gain of every act of righteousness, and safety from every sin. Do not leave any sin of mine except that You forgive it, nor any worry except that You relieve it, nor any need that is pleasing to You except that You fulfill it, O Most Merciful of the merciful.)

Notes

  • Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan gharib, and there is some criticism regarding its chain of transmission. Faid b. Abd al-Rahman is considered weak in hadith, and Faid is Abu al-Warqa.

machine translationWe mentioned this hadith only on the authority of Fāyid, even though Fāyid is not strong (laysa bi-l-qawī), because we have not preserved the wording of this hadith from the Prophet ﷺ except through this route with this chain of transmission. For that reason we mentioned it.
