Regarding Surat Ar-Rahman

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to his Companions and recited Surat al-Rahman to them from beginning to end. They remained silent, so he said: "I recited it to the jinn on the Night of the Jinn, and their response was better than yours. Whenever I came to His words, "Which of your Lord's favors will you both deny?" they said: We deny none of Your blessings, our Lord, so all praise belongs to You."
Notes
Abu Isa said: This is a strange hadith. We know it only through the narration of al-Walid b. Muslim from Zuhayr b. Muhammad. Ahmad b. Hanbal said: It appears that the Zuhayr b. Muhammad whose narrations occurred in Syria is not the one from whom narrations are transmitted in Iraq. It is as though he were another man whose name they mistakenly substituted, meaning because of the objectionable reports they narrate from him. I heard Muhammad b. Ismail al-Bukhari say: The people of Syria narrate objectionable reports from Zuhayr b. Muhammad, while the people of Iraq narrate generally sound hadiths from him.

A group of weak (ḍaʿīf) narrators, whom I have mentioned in this book of mine, stole it and narrated it from al-Walīd. Among them are Sulaymān b. Aḥmad al-Wāsiṭī, ʿAlī b. Jamīl al-Raqqī, ʿUmar b. Mālik al-Bakrī al-Baṣrī, and Barakah b. Muḥammad al-Ḥalabī. The hadith belongs to Hishām.
