حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي جَبِيرَةَ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ قَالَ
كَانَ الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا يَكُونُ لَهُ الاِسْمَيْنِ وَالثَّلاَثَةَ فَيُدْعَى بِبَعْضِهَا فَعَسَى أَنْ يَكْرَهَ قَالَ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ ( وَلاَ تَنَابَزُوا بِالأَلْقَابِ )

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ أَبُو جَبِيرَةَ هُوَ أَخُو ثَابِتِ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ أَنْصَارِيٌّ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ صَاحِبُ الْهَرَوِيِّ بَصْرِيٌّ ثِقَةٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي جَبِيرَةَ بْنِ الضَّحَّاكِ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
machine translationAbū ʿĪsā said: This is a good and sound (ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ) hadith. Abū Jabīrah is the brother of Thābit b. al-Ḍaḥḥāk b. Khalīfah, an Anṣārī. And Abū Zayd Saʿīd b. al-Rabīʿ, the companion of al-Harawī, is a Baṣran, trustworthy (thiqah). Abū Salamah Yaḥyā b. Khalaf narrated to us: Bishr b. al-Mufaḍḍal narrated to us, from Dāwūd b. Abī Hind, from al-Shaʿbī, from Abū Jabīrah b. al-Ḍaḥḥāk, similar to it. Abū ʿĪsā said: This is a good and sound (ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ) hadith.
