machine translationAbū ʿĪsā said: This is a gharīb hadith. We do not know it from the hadith of al-Zuhrī from Anas b. Mālik except from the hadith of this shaykh, Ayyūb b. Suwayd al-Ramlī. Some of the companions of al-Zuhrī narrated this hadith from al-Zuhrī: that the Prophet ﷺ, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar used to recite "Mālik yawm al-dīn" (Master of the Day of Judgment). And ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated from Maʿmar, from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab: that the Prophet ﷺ, Abū Bakr and ʿUmar used to recite "Mālik yawm al-dīn".
