machine translationOn this topic there are reports from Buraydah, Ibn ʿAbbās and Abū Juḥayfah. Abū ʿĪsā said: This is a hadith whose chain is not sound (ṣaḥīḥ). We do not know it in this form except through this route, from the hadith of Mūsā b. Masʿūd from Sufyān, and Mūsā b. Masʿūd is weak (ḍaʿīf) in hadith. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Mahdī narrated this hadith from Sufyān from Abū Isḥāq as a mursal report, and he did not mention in it "from Muṣʿab b. Saʿd", and this is more sound (aṣaḥḥ). He said: I heard Muḥammad b. Bashshār say: Mūsā b. Masʿūd is weak in hadith. Muḥammad b. Bashshār said: I wrote down much from Mūsā b. Masʿūd, then I abandoned him. The Book of Seeking Permission is complete, and the Book of Manners follows it.
