Notes

machine translationAbū ʿĪsā said: This is a good and sound (ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ) hadith. Thus ʿAwf narrates it from Abū Rajāʾ from ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn, while Ayyūb says from Abū Rajāʾ from Ibn ʿAbbās. Neither of the two chains has any criticism in it, and it is possible that Abū Rajāʾ heard from both of them. Others besides ʿAwf have also narrated this hadith from Abū Rajāʾ from ʿImrān b. Ḥuṣayn.
