What scholars said about it

In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

  • al-Tirmidhi

machine translationThis is a good (ḥasan) and strange (gharīb) hadith; we do not know it except through this route.

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 2176

machine translationI hope that, if I discount Darrāj and clear him of these hadiths which I have declared objectionable (munkar) from him, the rest of his hadiths are not problematic, and that his case comes close to what Yaḥyā b. Maʿīn said about him.

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 2176

machine translationHe is not corroborated in it; some of his hadith are rejected as objectionable (munkar).

    in جامع الترمذي, p. 2176
